Buds before blooming / bulging, bursting, beautiful /burgeoning blossoms.

This short, alliterative poem flowed out of my brain in one, blurry batch of “b” words. The first version was complete, thought-out, good-to-go, fully-formed, 10 fingers, 10 toes, and ready-to-post.

BTW, I’m in hardiness zone 7a, according to the USDA Plant Hardiness scale (climate change adjusted).

The photo is of low-hanging twigs and buds of an ornamental cherry tree, ready to spring into flowering, lit by late afternoon light, glowing in golden hour sun, with tall hedges and glimpses of an early April sky behind them.
