A 16-year-old boy died suddenly a few days ago.  He was the brother of my daughter’s friend, a great kid, a rising star, and his death was innocent, of natural causes. You may have seen it on the TV news…

The loss and pain are always greater when a young person dies.  There is more confusion and anger about why and how it happened; grief is deepened by contemplation of a life interrupted too soon.  It is not only a loss of precious life, but a life not yet lived completely, now without an opportunity to do so.

The boy had many friends, all of them grieving now. One close friend, wrote and published a short rap song about him, which you can listen to online by clicking the link below.  It’s very good, powerful, and moving – you should listen to it…
