Twoku: “It’s a quiet car!” / barked the man unquietly / menacing talkers.
Threeku:  “It’s a quiet car!” / barked the man unquietly / ’til silence returned
Fourku: “It’s a quiet car!” / barked the man unquietly / ’til quiet restored.
Fiveku: “It’s a quiet car!” / barked the man unquietly / defending silence.
Sixku: “It’s a quiet car!” / barked the man unquietly / defending the peace.
Sevenku: “It’s a quiet car!” / barked the man unquietly / frightening others.
Eightku: “It’s a quiet car!” / barked the man repeatedly / startling others.

OK, OK…got a little carried away with the variations on this one, but I was having fun…you get the point!  🙂

Oh, and isn’t that sign on the train just PERFECT for this haiku?!
