Branches, twigs / think of leaves who left / them barren. Haikumages

Branches, twigs / think of leaves who left / them barren.

Twoku:
No leaf left / behind by bluster / winter winds.

Threeku:
Naked tree stands cold / remembering leaves who left / awaiting new ones.

Fourku:
No leaf left / winter winds forced all / leaves to leave.

Fiveku:
No leaves left / as each leapt, tree mourned / their leaving.

This group is written on a theme of “leaves left” as I gazed upon naked trees in winter and wondered why their clothes had left them.
