I wish the blessing / of clear skies on all who seek / the perigee moon.

The perigee moon is a very special full moon — a “super moon” — which appears 14% larger than normal, due to being closer to Earth at its perigee, than at other times in normal lunar cycles. The perigee moon visits infrequently; it’s wonderful and breathtaking to see and not to be missed!

That said, as some of you may have noticed, this photograph is actually NOT of a perigee moon! It’s actually a recent “waxing gibbous” or “waning gibbous” moon (can’t remember which), which was so good, I had to use it in this post. Think of it as inspiration for you to run out and get a telescope or long lens for your camera, to view and capture the beautiful perigee or any other super-moon (if the clouds relent)…
