Sunrise viewed / through the ice crystals / on my car.
Swan song of the leaves / a final act of beauty / then fall to their death.
Yet another day / joins its predecessors to / live in infamy.
View of morning sky / through leaves, twisted limbs of old / Japanese maple.
All the characters / some fearsome, some fabulous / out to play today!
October cricket / rubs his thin legs together / keeping himself warm.
Foliage colors / across the still lake water / lit by the dawn sky.
Dawn below freezing / sudden, chilling reminder / winter follows fall.
The proud red maples / their faces first to redden / as they take their leave.
Autumn’s faded hues / at season’s end replacing / Summer’s brilliant blues.
Though it ain’t over / till it’s over, apparently / it’s over today.
Bumble bee observed / pollinating all flowers / without prejudice.
There is nothing coy / about appetites, desires / of ravenous koi.
Ahead, the bald man / top down, smoke, phone, loud music / for me to enjoy.
Scurvy elephant / his next adventure outside / erroneous zones.
Those who crave horror / of Craven now can only / repeat past horrors.
