The epidemic / the needle ends another/ ravaged life too soon. // haikumages

A few days ago, my friend lost her son, after years of struggle, to a drug overdose. It is an epidemic of addiction, taking yet another life before its time.  In her 2007 song, written  during the struggle, my friend wrote these words of power and portent:

God, the Father, comes to call,
And, He brings the wrecking ball.

Logan, you left us too soon, but now your struggle is over.  Our hearts and prayers are with you, and we wish you safe travels to a happier place.
