Aegishjalmur / my helm of awe is broken / my power is gone. HAIKUMAGES

Aegishjalmur / my helm of awe is broken / my power is gone.

This was my favorite relic, talisman, memory of Iceland – a key-chain ornament, now broken.  I’ve been to Iceland seven times – it’s one of my favorite places on the planet…but this key chain was from my trip there with my son, when he was 11-years-old!  Now, this thing is broken, and can no longer go everywhere with me, attached to my keys…but luckily, I have wonderful, special memories of my trip to Iceland with my son, which will outlive the key chain ornament…

Aegishjalmur / my helm of awe is broken / my power is gone.

“Haikumages” are short poems (mostly haiku and senryu-style) combined with images (mostly original photographs and graphics) by Russ Murray.
