This spectacular rose is the last man standing, the end-of-the-season, the climax, a final offering from this hardy rosebush in October. Here, glistening in cold Autumn rain, this single rose puts out a beautiful, fragrant cloud each day, a scented greeting to anyone arriving or departing through the gate… 🙂
Solitary rose / its purpose unshared, emits / fragrance of many.
