haikumages

I’m all over it / like white on rice, sauce on ribs / and like a cheap suit.

OK, so this haiku (senryū, actually) contains three of the four common variations of the expression, “I’m all over it like…”  The fourth and most common one (as I’m sure you know) is, “…like stink on <feces>!” Expletive deleted; fill-in-the-blank opportunity…  🙂

Do you have any favorite, regional or cultural variations on this expression?  If so, The Haikook (that’s me) would love to hear ’em!!  Please comment with your best ones, or make up a couple and post ’em!

Looking forward to your comments and input, dear friends, fellow wordsmiths, and haiku-lovers…

  1. I actually never heard this one although it sounds vaguely familiar.
